A practical point of view

Business ideas become stronger when the right questions are asked in the right order.

Steven has taught entrepreneurship at the university level and worked with aspiring entrepreneurs as they developed, tested, and presented new business ideas. As a business owner, he also understands that an idea must eventually work outside the classroom, in the market, in the operation, and in the numbers.

That combination of education and practical business experience shaped Venture Map. The framework was created to organize the major parts of a business idea into a process that is thorough without becoming overwhelming.

Why Venture Map was created

A useful plan should do more than describe an idea.

It should help the entrepreneur understand the customer, evaluate the market, explain how the business will operate, examine the financial logic, identify what must happen next, and communicate the opportunity clearly.

Venture Map brings those decisions together in one connected system. The written plan, financial model, and pitch all tell the same story.

The goal is not to make an idea look perfect. The goal is to make it stronger.
